Guardians Luncheon Appeal Pt. 2
If you’re from South Florida, then it’s safe to say that you grow up with Laurie Jennings being your local “news anchor”. Well, what you may not know about Laurie Jennings is that she has a special heart for the work being done at Holtz Children’s Hospital and more specifically in their NICU and PICU units.
Watch the videos below to learn a little more about her story and about the Guardian’s Luncheon: an annual luncheon hosted by the Jackson Health Foundation to raise money for the work being done at Holtz Children’s Hospital.

Sasha Gadea's Story
Sasha was diagnosed with a malformation in the brain called AVM after a series of serious migraines drove her mother to seek medical attention for her. After going to a couple of hospitals closer to their home in Key Largo, Florida they learned that the only hospital with the technology to save Sasha’s life was Jackson’s Holtz Children’s Hospital. It was at Holtz that the necessary procedure was performed that saved Sasha’s life. Thank God, just weeks after the procedure, Sasha showed positive signs of a speedy recovery and is now back home with her loving family in Key Largo.

Jackson Health Covid Pandemic Thank You Video
It’s been more than a year now since the COVID-19 pandemic began making its impact felt around the world. And while most of the United States shut down for a time, the responsibility on our frontline workers only increased, specifically our medical workers. The doctors, nurses, and staff at @jacksonhealth felt this impact firsthand and continue to, even today.
Early on in the pandemic we got the opportunity to create a short video highlighting the work @jacksonhealth was doing and their need for continued financial support.

Holtz Children's Hospital NICU Testimonial
The NICU unit is the last place in the world you want to have to send your baby, but if you have to, there’s no better NICU unit than the one at Holtz Children’s Hospital.
In August of 2019, our team told the story of the work that goes on in the NICU unit at Jackson Holtz Children’s Hospital. We had the pleasure of speaking to two incredibly brave women and hearing their stories and experiences of having their children as patients in the NICU at Jackson. We also interviewed Dr. Eduardo Bancalari, Head of Pediatrics at Holtz Children’s, who spoke about the work being done there as well as the need for additional funding to continue being able to take on the most difficult Neo-Natal and Pediatric Medical Cases.

Victoria Bermudez Health Testimonial
The Guardian’s Luncheon is an annual event hosted by the Jackson Health Foundation to help raise money towards supporting the work done throughout the Jackson Health Systems. In 2019, the luncheon focused on raising funds for ventilators used in the NICU and PICU units at Jackson. The same ventilators that saved Victoria Bermudez’s life.
Her testimonial is a living miracle story. Watch this testimonial video to see the wonderful work taking place at Jackson Health Systems every day.
